ABOUT US

Baby me 6_020_edited.jpg

I'm Mark, I'm originally from Burnley, but I'm now mostly working in London.

I trained as an actor at Rose Bruford, and I've been working as a Movement director since 2012,

My work as a freelance movement director includes Land of Our Fathers, which was Winner of Time Out Critic’s Choice and Fringe Show of the Year 2013, and was shortlisted for Best Production and Best New Play in the OFFIES, it subsequently made a West End transfer to Trafalgar Studios and completed a UK tour the following year.

I've also worked at Theatre503, The Bunker, The Vaults Festival, Live Theatre, and The Pleasance.

I have twice been shortlisted for the Old Vic 12.

I was a founder member of Made From Scratch Theatre Company. As part of Made From Scratch we produced One Hour Only by Sabrina Mahfouz (dir. Matt Wilde) for it’s run as the inaugural winner of the Old Vic New Voices, IdeasTap and Udderbelly Edinburgh Award 2012. And Body of water which was nominated for Best Ensemble at the Edinburgh Stage Awards 2011.

My hair isn't quite as full as it is in the picture above (which should get me the nomination for understatement of the year award).

I'm Eloise, I'm originally from Norfolk but have set up home in Banbury.

I trained on the Actor Musicianship course at Rose Bruford and it was there that I met my partner in crime (see the dude with the perm above)

My background in movement comes from a dancer training from the age of 4 and I studied ballet, tap, jaz, hip hop, contemporary dance and musical theatre.

When I was 12 I auditioned for the Royal Ballet School and was told I was too fat. True Story.

(see ice cream shot above)

So I decided I wanted to find a way of enjoying movement that wasn't entirely based on how I looked but how I felt and what I could express with my body. And that's where i'm at today.

As an actor and a musician, I am particularly interested in exploring the musicality of movement and text and the relationship between rhythm and breath.

But let's be honest, I essentially want to help actors find a way of moving without them feeling like a t**t. That's the real goal. And then we can all celebrate with an ice cream. (F**k you Royal Ballet School)
